Shady Sycamores is a grove of three large sycamores. As wolves cannot climb trees, though many have tried, they make for a very good shady spot. Many elders that can still move about can be found here enjoying a small rabbit between them sharing stories about their life and the tales of the ancestors, remembering many different things about how the territory once was. It is a howl of a time!

Definitely a strange part of the forest where only pine trees seem to grow! The ground is littered with pine needles, soft to the touch. It is a great place to practice hunting and various battle moves with young to-be’s. Also, strange glowing lights – fireflies – can be found here, blinking in and out of the trees at night. Young to-be’s like come here to try and catch the little light-making bugs, but pups have been known to get lost and never be able to find their way out again. The Pines seemingly have no end.

A long snaking river runs through the entire territory from north to south, with smaller rivers streaming from it. Filled with both shallow and deep waters the river is a good place to catch fish, swim and get a refreshing lap of water! But beware, other animals like to come to the river as well. Bears, cougars and even poisonous snakes have a home in some of the rocks that jut out of the water to create waterfalls. Beavers are also a popular sight to see along the river. The types of fish are: Trout, Bass, salmon, and steel head.

A path that leads through the entire territory, tribe and non-tribe. It is good for hunting either a tribe member or a loner just wandering past. Many loners have made dens near the path to live in. The trail is marked by the well-worn and bordered with all kinds of trees, it snakes in many directions through the entire territory, so it is more like the river. One path that is less traveled by is the path that leads into the Forbidden Mountains. Rarely do any loners venture onto this path after hearing the Tribes stories.

To the east lies The Ancestors Path. The healer and the healers to-be travel this path every Full moon. The path leads into the mountains to a water-fall that cascades into a pool that feeds the large river that runs through the territory. The bravest of warriors that seek guidance from their ancestors also travel this path, the Tribe Chieftain also travels this path in search for guidance. You mustn't be afraid of meeting the starry wolf-spirits. The Ancestors are picky though, sometimes they will meet you along the path, and sometimes they will remain silent. Also, as a tradition when the Tribe Chieftain is dying they will walk the path with the next Chieftain as rite of passage to the leadership.

“nam'ipokai” is the Blackfoot word for sky; the Ancestors look down from Nam’ipokai. A replica of the forest below that always seems to be summer. The ancestors enjoy this forest in the sky! Many tribe members say the millions of stars are their ancestors seated in Nam’ipokai, looking down upon them, watching over them. No one knows what happens to the wolves who do the most harm to tribe accept the Ancestors.
